2009 Boats on the Boardwalk .....Traverse City, MIchigan
The 2009 Boats on the Boardwalk Show expressed a beautiful collection of wooden classic boats that displayed well as they always do on the Boardman River. Entering your boats from Lake Michigan into the river area is one of the most interesting pleasures of the show. The display of the boats are tied up onto the boardwalk which allows viewers to photograph and visit each boater easily. The ACBS Water Wonderland Chapter often will have an awning display where t-shirts and other classic boat information and supplies are available.
The 2009 show was blessed with a down pour of rain throughout the day, but provided enough sun to be enjoyed by all of those who attended.
Boats on the Boardwalk is one show that should be marked on all classic boat enthusiast schedules in the state of Michigan.
Vintage Holland Boat Show - Holland, Michigan
This representation of classic boats has been in existence since 2006 and will hold another impressive event once again this summer of 2009. Showcasing vintage boats that were made in Michigan. This boat show is by inventation only and is a dry-land event, displaying boats, outboards, canoes and other collectible watercraft. Crowds and boat collectors were a good part of this classic boating event during the 2007 show. On a hot August day this show blended itself well with the canopy of trees down the street and the sweet smell of varnished boats. Vintage boats from all areas of the state make this gathering a show that should be on all boaters summer schedule.

During its introductory year this show attracted many participants and boat enthusiast. Similar to the South Arm Classic Boat Show , this is a trailered event. The impressive quality of this show is that viewers can observe these beautiful boats up close and feel as if they are apart of the event. Despite the forcast of rain on that day, this show was a beautiful summer outing.
